Vehicle Description
You're looking at a car that really has no equal. This 2011
Chevrolet Corvette built by Classic Reflection Coachworks is the
kind of restomod that takes the iconic style and adds everything
modern that you could possibly want. So, while you're enjoying the
performance of a modern LS3 V8, fully upgraded suspension, and the
comfort of leather-clad A/C interior, you'll also be winning awards
in a unique build that has been customized over every inch.
With a professional restoration purposely built to replicate a 1958
Corvette, and only 2,550 miles on it since then, this car doesn't
try for a moment to hide its uniqueness. The bright, bold Baja
Bronze Metallic and Champagne coves have the kind of premium shine
that looks like it was borrowed from the modern Mercedes palette.
The slick finish goes nicely with the custom appearance that
streamlines the design with expertly applied trim on the front,
sides, and even door handles. This later C1 generation Corvette was
the right place for this speedy makeover. After all, the body
retains the iconic design lines that made the Corvette America's
sports car, but the car evolved with a less fussy front end,
ornately designed rear end, a louvered hood, and a wide grille that
looks like it wants to inhale lesser sports cars. Like any good
'60s machine there was plenty of bright work: Everything from the
intricate form-fitting split bumpers, to the delicate trim that
runs around the coves - it all has the mirror-like quality of
serious investment. While those all tell you this is a great
classic, the modern five-spoke chrome wheels (with an aggressive
18/1-inch front/rear stagger) and aggressive stance are a great
clue to all the upgrades beneath the skin.
Step inside and see the completely modernized interior,
professionally swapped right out of a 2011 Corvette and fitted
perfectly. The Corvette guys finally got with the program after
years of automotive writers complaining about the low-rent
passenger compartments in these cars in the past, so picking a C6
was the right choice. With upgraded leather and sophisticated
textures, this Corvette interior looks expensive and upscale and
the seats are supportive and comfortable without being confining. A
technological tour-de-force, this Corvette carries just about every
option GM could throw at it, including the 3LT package (which
offers a heads-up display, Bose audio system, power telescoping
steering wheel, and dual power heated seats), navigation system,
perforated leather seating surfaces, and iPod connectivity. The
power top goes down for the full convertible experience, except you
get to keep the giant trunk too, so there's plenty of room for
storing your car-show goodies. It's all in excellent condition with
minimal wear and you'll never get tired of watching the gauges do
their dance every time you key it up.
Everywhere you park, you won't be able to resist lifting the hood
and showing off this exceptional engine bay. With the smooth
painted inner fenders and every inch stuffed modern LS3 power, it's
the perfect mix of style and substance. So besides just looking
great, you're going to love driving this one. The 6.2-liter
fuel-injected power plant is a GM performance motor that makes 430
hp right out of the box, and on this lightweight body it's more
than you'll ever need. A custom X-pipe dual exhaust provides a
wonderful note at idle and get ready for complaints from the
neighbors from the neutral revs you'll be doing in the driveway.
Handling all this extra power is GM's 6L80 six-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive, and not only is that the same unit you
would get if you ordered a 2011 Corvette with an automatic, but
also you can still take full control over this powerful V8 thanks
to the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Out on the road, this
handles like no C1 that you know, since the chassis from a C6 was
completely swapped in by the pros at CRC as well. Plus, the modern
power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes give this
first-generation car some very modern moves. And you might want to
take some real time to look over all of this in the undercarriage
photos, because there was a TON of $$$$$ getting this performance
suspension polished and ready for prime time. The look is finished
beautifully with a staggered set of chrome five-spoke Corvette
wheels, wrapped in 245/40/18 front and 285/35/19 rear Goodyear
performance radials.
There is a different caliber of custom car, and it's the kind you
can put a mirror under at any show. This is obviously that kind of
upper-echelon machine. It usually takes a lifetime to get a car
looking like this, but if you're lucky enough, the ultimate
Corvette could be yours today. Call now!
