1947 Chrysler WIndsor. Two previous owners brothers stated that
they had the car stored when not using in climate controlled
environment for a total of 30 years. All original flat head
6-cylinder motor, fluid drive transmission, and rear end. Original
color re-paint by previous owner. Interior in excellent condition,
as is body. No rust or damage. Within the last three years: New
wide whitewall tires, New battery, New gas gauge tank unit float,
New sealed beam headlight, New gas pedal, New emergency brake
cable, New assorted interior bulbs not installed, New hoses,
gaskets, thermostat, and belts. Within the last three years, repair
and maintenance: 2017: Remove, replace all wheel cylinders, hoses,
check hand brake. Adjust band and top up fluid in transmission,
remove emergency brake, relined and replace, adjust band and cable,
2018 Drain gas tank book recommends once a year, blow out fuel line
and check carburetor. Check for oil, fluid leak in rear. Remove and
replace pinion seal and top off fluid. Runs great. Runs 55-60 on
interstate,take trip of approximately 40 miles about once a month.
The original parts ARE 72 years old so don't drive it every day.
Has won a car show in it's division, driven in two Christmas
parades, been a photo op for a benefit dinner and a senior prom,
driven a newly wed couple from their reception, around town for
about 30 minutes, then to their hotel. In the spirit of
transparency, the interior light bulbs have not been replaced, dash
lights need replacing, temperature gauge is a replacement by
previous owner, gas gauge needs to be serviced, speedometer is a
