This 1973 BMW 3.0 CS was reportedly picked up via the European
Delivery programby a pilot in the US Air Force when new. The car
then spent 34 years in the possession offormer Road & Track editor
Ron Wakefield starting in 1982, during which time it received a
repaint in Baikal Blue as well as reupholstered leather seats,
engine refreshment, and a five-speed manual transmission conversion
by La Jolla Independent BMW Service. The seller has installed new
Weber carburetors and driven the car approximately 300 miles since
purchasing it in a November 2016 BaT auction. This E9 is now
offered with service records beginning in 1982 and a clean South
