Vehicle Description
This magnificent 1965 Ford Mustang custom fastback known as "Toxic"
is a true masterpiece. It was restored by Buckeye Classic Car
Restoration with extreme attention to detail and many custom
upgrades throughout. It was completed in 2017 and only driven 60
test miles since completion. It has achieved multiple prestigious
awards from 2017-18, which include Armstrong Street Scene - Grand
Champion Car, Auto Rama Summit Racing I-X Piston Powered - First
Place in Class, MCACN Platinum Pick Judges Choice - Ford Modified
and MCACN Blue Ribbon Award - Best Resto-Mod, scoring 993 out of
1,000 points. All of the awards are included with the car. The body
is laser-straight and all of the Maier Racing fiberglass pieces
were meticulously molded for a superior fit. All of the tinted
glass was replaced new. The car was painted Ruby Red Pearl, which
is so beautiful it's indescribable. The paint quality is at the
highest level. The underside of the hood and decklid was painted
with special marble paint. Some of the exterior upgrades include
Grote modern headlights, LED taillights, dual Cobra mirrors, Cobra
emblems, billet hood locks, upper and lower front grilles, brushed
aluminum taillight bezels and gas cap. The car sits on custom Boze
Forged 18" Toxic wheels that were powder-coated black. The all-new
black interior was tastefully restored, keeping the original feel.
Some of the interior upgrades include a one-piece headliner, MP
Products Injection molded door panels, billet door strikers, billet
door knobs, billet door handles, billet window cranks, Ringbrothers
door sills, Dakota Digital VHX gauges, LED interior lighting,
Ididit tilt steering column, Billet Specialties 14" Formula
steering wheel, Vintage Air, Lokar pedals, Corbeau bucket seats,
Crow Enterprises 2-point seatbelts, black billet shifter, Auto
Custom carpeting and Cobra carpeted floor mats. The rear interior
space was customized with inner panels and a sound system platform.
The sound system consists of a RetroSound head unit with Bluetooth,
two Hertz amplifiers and eight Hertz speakers, including two
subwoofers. The painted engine compartment is highly detailed with
many upgrades. It's equipped with an Optima red-top battery,
Ringbrothers aluminum hood hinges, brushed aluminum strut tower bar
and fender brace. It's powered by a Blueprint 306ci V8 engine
putting out 400hp. Some of the engine upgrades include aluminum
heads, Edelbrock polished high-rise intake, Edelbrock polished dual
500 CFM carburetors, billet valve covers, billet air cleaner,
billet wire looms and an All American black billet V-belt pulley
system. The engine is cooled by a custom C&R Racing 4-core
aluminum radiator with a black billet overfill tank. The engine
breathes through JBA ceramic headers and a stainless exhaust system
with JBA mufflers. The engine is coupled to a T5 5-speed manual
transmission. The power is transferred through a 1993 Ford Mustang
Fox Body 8.8 Traction-Lok rear axle with G2 cover and 3.73 gears.
It's equipped with power steering with a black billet overfill
tank. The undercarriage was treated with a durable finish and is
highly detailed throughout. Frame connectors were added for
stability. It has an Aerolite fuel cell made to look like the
original gas tank. It's equipped with a Wilwood 4-wheel disc
braking system with 6-piston calipers. The AJE suspension system
consists of SN95 front suspension with heavy-duty fabricated
control arms and a rear 4-link setup with Viking coilovers. This
Mustang is over the top and will be the centerpiece in any
collection. This car has recently been serviced and detailed, which
is documented with an invoice that is included.
