This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 390ci is dressed up but maintains all
its original grunt with the custom blue metallic paint and darker
blue canvas top and features a black boot cover that's in nearly
new condition. This car gets compliments everywhere she goes.
Frequently, convertibles only look good top down, but this car even
jumps with top up. The car was dropped 2'' all around with factory
grade spring replacements from Summit. No chopped springs here,
making for an easy swap back to factory specified springs.
Semi-custom Heddman headers were installed along with FlowMaster
mufflers that make all the right sounds. The wheels are 17''
American Racing Torq Thrusts and finish off the look of this
American Icon. Recent replacements of foam and covers for the front
buckets were professionally installed. Rear seat is original. The
stereo head is mounted at the head of the console and can easily be
removed or replaced with any unit of your choice. The original
radio was left in place for appearance sake, as we did not want to
alter the dash. Gauges were added for increased accuracy. The
aluminum radiator and electric fan are new, approximately 1 year,
as well as conversion to the GM power steering pump which allows
for modern parts, superior to 1965 rebuilds. Mileage is assumed to
be original upon thorough inspection of the engine and
transmission. This 1965 Ford Galaxie XL was recently serviced and
received clean bill of health! She is an absolute driver!
