STK 2598 1940 Chevrolet 3100 Street Rod
This stunning 1940 Chevrolet street rod was built to be driven and
enjoyed. The Chevy 3100 Series pick-up received a beautiful
restoration that included many mechanical upgrades. A stunning
finish of Deep Purple with Orange/Green flames was applied to the
classic exterior in 2003. All chrome is excellent and the smart bed
is fitted with oak-style boards, stainless trim and a diamond plate
tool chest. There is a crank-up/down spare tire holder and neon
lights under the hood and chassis. The interior is well designed
and incorporates comfortable cloth bucket seats, A/C, AM/FM/CD
stereo and a full compliment of digital gauges in a custom alloy
dash. It is also equipped with keyless entry, power locks, cruise,
power windows (tinted), tilt column w/Banjo-style wheel and 2-speed
electric wiper/washers. Under the hood, the engine compartment
houses a 350ci small-block that sounds sweet and very streetable.
It is fitted with electronic fuel injection and shorty-headers that
exit to a free-flowing dual exhaust. The hydraulic cam burbles with
a mild duration that mates well with the 4-speed 700-R automatic
and posi-traction differential with 2.73:1 gearing. All electrics
have been upgraded to a 12-volt alternator configuration and a H/D
radiator w/electric fan handles cooling. The solid chassis anchors
an AMC front end, independent front suspension, power rack/pinion
steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes w/dual master cylinder.
Republic Invader radials are mounted on 15" alloy wheels. This
handsome Chevy 3100 street rod truly needs to be seen and driven to
be appreciated. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
