are excited to offer this unique special interest edition, produced
for a short period of time in 1975, that has a number of unique
features. Marketed by GMC as a more upscale pickup, the Gentleman
Jim had more options than the rest of the product line. You could
say it was a predecessor to the Denali line of pickups that we see
in dealerships currently. (Chevrolet also offered their own
version with the Beau James.) The Gentleman Jim trucks had many
options that were more common on the Cadillacs of the day such as
woodgrain trim throughout the interior, 'gun stock design' trim
around the wood grain, full matching door panels that contained
sound deadening material, and matching door pockets. In addition,
a full set of gauges including tach, bucket seats with center
storage console, and controls for the A/C were also standard. The
interior of the truck we offer here is in very good condition from
the upholstery to the woodgrain. The seat upholstery and carpet
were recently replaced giving this good ol' Gentleman Jim a crisp
appearance. Black and Gold two tone exterior set the Gentleman Jim
trucks apart from the rest, much different than the usual color
combinations seen on the rest of the line of GMC and Chevrolet
pickups. Other than the two tone paint, the other notable options
were the outer bed rails, gold grille and wheels, and of course the
stylized Gentleman Jim script. The body and frame of this
particular truck is in solid condition, with a repaint of the Gold
center section of the body being done a number of years ago. The
original script remains on the bed as well as the bed rails. Under
the two tone hood is a rebuilt 350ci V8 with 4 Barrel carburetor
mated to a rebuilt transmission. The exhaust was recently replaced
as well as the tires. Other notable options on this truck are power
brakes, (disc brakes in the front), power steering, Air
Conditioning, and working heat. This is a limited production,
turn key truck ready for a new home - if you don't mind Gentleman
Jim residing in your garage. Be sure to check out all the photos
