Vehicle Description
1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty For Sale - Factory Cameo White,
Fully Documented LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1974
Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty The Trans Am Super Duty 455 was
introduced in 1973 and it did not take a great deal of nostalgia to
remember the Super Duty of old. Similar to its predecessors, the
Super Duty 455 was a racing engine designed to not only hold up
under the bright lights of competition but, also withstand the
diametrically opposed goal of meeting new federal emissions
requirements. The Super Duty engines were assembled by hand
utilizing a 4-bolt-main block, special high-performance camshaft,
large valves, aluminum pistons and high-flow exhaust manifolds. The
engine was intentionally underrated by the factory at 290hp but,
when tested back in the day by some of the nation's leading car
magazines, a similar 1974 455 Super Duty T/A produced times in the
14.5-second bracket at 101 MPH. One out of a mere 731 produced,
X-Code Pontiac 455 Super Duty Trans Ams built for the 1974 model
year with this transmission. This real Cameo White beauty was
delivered new to London Motor Products Ltd. It was factory ordered
with the Super Duty 455 CI engine backed by the Turbo 400 automatic
transmission and 3.08 Posi-traction rear differential. This
particular T/A was equipped from the factory with power windows,
power door locks, air conditioning, tilt steering, tinted glass,
hood decal, rally gauges, rear spoiler, rear defrost and AC Delco
AM/FM stereo radio. This Trans Am Super Duty comes fully documented
with the bullit proof Pontiac Historical Services documentation as
well as the General Motors paperwork. The 1974 Pontiac Trans Am
Super Duty 455 cars were the very last of the high-performance cars
from the '70s and the history of the Super Duty is legendary. This
should prove to be a great addition to any Pontiac muscle-car
enthusiast's collection. Additional Details: 1974 PONTIAC TRANS AM
