Vehicle Description
Over the decades, Porsche has consistently crafted legions of
inspired, thoroughly well-built cars armed with outstanding
performance. Case in point is this 2007 Porsche 911 (997) Turbo -
sleek and low slung, it harbors all the indications that it's been
well treated over the years and it's running in top form. This
German top dog has logged only 46,186 miles and received some
choice performance upgrades, making it well-positioned for plenty
of future miles of driving excitement.
That instantly recognizable 911 form is sure to bring a smile to
your face. Equal parts thoroughly modern and refreshingly classic,
the model has been around since the early '60s and while there have
certainly been quite a few updates to stay at the front of the pack
both aesthetically and performance-wise, put this '07 997 Turbo
next to one of the original specimens of the model and the lineage
is obvious. Despite being wider than its predecessors (and this one
is especially wider in the front and rear fenders because it's a
wide-body turbo), this 997 has an outstanding drag coefficient and
slices through the wind with ease. Its delectably loud Speed Yellow
exterior is in top notch shape - this performance machine has
clearly been securely sheltered and well-looked after over the
years, so you'll find no signs of fading or oxidation even up close
... only a nice, deep shine. And it will last, as a clear bra has
been professionally installed and now covers the front bumper,
hood, and mirrors. As expected with a car that left the factory
with so much inherent coolness already built into the mix, it's
been kept in factory configuration, sporting a new front spoiler
and a two-stage rear Turbo spoiler, both new designs for the year.
Its trim remains unmarked and precisely aligned and the glass
surrounding the cabin is in top condition. Just one glance at this
car will have you itching to get behind the wheel and out on the
road.
Open one of the doors and you'll see a black leather interior
that's in superb condition. The front buckets have held their form
incredibly well and show no cracking - and the back seat appears
nearly new. And take a look at those yellow accents in the middle
console, seat belts, and gauges. What a nice, rare option! Despite
the white-knuckle inducing adrenaline rush this car is capable of
eliciting, even the factory steering wheel still looks surprisingly
fresh, as does the dash area just beyond it, with its array of
yellow-faced displays, white-colored digital readouts and
supple-looking dash pad with beautiful stitching. As you'd expect
in a car with such an illustrious reputation, there are plenty of
comfort and convenience features on board (too many to list here)
and all are functioning in top form, while driver and passenger
airbags provide an added measure of safety. This 997 Turbo is built
for performance as opposed to errand-running, but you'll also find
that the front storage area is surprisingly roomy - there'll be no
issues stowing luggage for weekend getaways.
Along with its renown for performance, Porsche has forged a
reputation for equipping its rolling works of art with impressive
longevity so, having been well-maintained, this Turbo is positioned
for a bright future. The fuel-injected 3.6 liter H6 Turbo
rear-mounted engine is a very able powerplant, capable of producing
473 HP and 0-60 times in less than 4 seconds right out of the box.
But all that factory power still wasn't enough for the former owner
of this sports car, so it was treated to a custom tune from the
pros at Markski Custom Tuning that included a new ECU and TCU,
large 4.5-inch race intercoolers, and a full FabSpeed custom X-pipe
exhaust. And with all that added performance it's running great,
teaming with a 5-speed manumatic transmission to extract maximum
output and offering a world class driving experience. Courtesy of
the added aftermarket 997 Turbo Supersport exhaust system, the note
coming out of the tailpipes is as deep and rich as you could want.
Porsche's power steering is as responsive and precise as it comes
and, combined with featured four-wheel drive and the new
state-of-the-art PASM computer-controlled suspension, makes this
911 a bonafide corner carver with very few equals. The exotic look
is finished off beautifully by a set of staggered, gloss black
20-inch BC Custom Forged wheels wrapped in 245/35/20 front and
305/30/20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 performance radials.
This 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo packs an outstanding mix of timeless
aesthetics and exhilarating performance at a great price. When
factoring in the original MSRP of $143k, plus the near $30k of
performance upgrades, you'll quickly realize that this Porsche is a
relative bargain on the pre-owned exotic market. And those never
last long. Call today!
