1 of 10 ORIGINALLY PRODUCED. Fabulous survivor Superior hearse conversion! Pontiac Bonneville wagon chassis delivered to Superior for conversion. Probably the only survivor at this point. I am the third owner. I purchased it from the second owner who was friends with the first owner. I was told some interesting stories about the life of this car. It has never been registered outside of my area. But, it has been kept registered it's whole life. Rare to still have original California black plates on a commercial vehicle.
This car was used by the mortuary for approx. 20+ years, then sold to the second owner and used for approx 20+ years for parades, charity events, etc. I purchased it in 2007. It has been garaged it's whole life. No rust history and still sports the ORIGINAL vinyl top! When I purchased it back in 2007 it only needed a minor restoration to be a very good car. Body was excellent, and received the black repaint. The interior only needed the front seat recovered, which was done exactly as original. Beautiful dash, excellent headliner, door and cargo panels, and great linoleum cargo area. The original Lucite steering wheel is unbelievable!
Car runs and drives excellent. Original 389 4V engine, Jetaway automatic transmission, power steering and brakes. Radio delete.
