rust free and mostly all original surviving example of this rare
(only 2 year production run from 1965-66 and 1 of only 2,125 models
built in '65 and 2,250 in '66) 1965 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
in its original 'Jade Firemist' color with the very rare and
desirable factory option of a 'Black' Perforated Leather bucket

($165)The 1965 Eldorado was a large luxurious Cadillac built in
this particular bodystyle for only two years (1965-66) with no
primary competition that could easily carry six people and had a
power top, automatic level control suspension system and featured a
large 429/340HP V8 engine. Only 2,250 models were built in 1966 and
2,125 were built in 1965 with even fewer with the rare factory
option of bucket seats! These were the final years of the rear
wheel drive Cadillac and amongst the best of the breed. The 1965
redesign brought handsome new curved sided styling and a stronger
new full perimeter frame replacing the old X-member affair, with
better engine mounts, a new four link rear suspension and the
improved Turbo Hydramatic drive transmission with the result being
two of Cadillac's best sales years ever! With these rare
mid-sixties models becoming increasingly thinned out now, these
particular 1965-66 year models are now being appreciated by
Cadillac enthusiasts more than ever before as an increasingly
desirable and collectible and very rare Cadillac from two of its
best years ever! This particular example is a very rare and unique
as a mostly all original survivor in its original 'Jade Firemist'
(color code 96) factory paint boasting the very rare Black (Trim
Code 451B) Perforated factory front bucket seats factory option
with correct original black carpeting and a fairly new Black color
power soft top, its all original real wood trim on the door panels,
its original matching black factory tonneau cover, its original
spare wheel and jack and original specification trunk compartment
interior with spare wheel cover etc still all intact as in 1965!
The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are
completely solid and rust-free and the car has no signs of any
accidents - obviously an always garaged and cherished southern
California car since new!The car has it's original matching #
429/340HP V8 engine and a thick file of physical records from 1997
to present showing that at no time was any expense spared on this
particular vehicles preventive maintenance! The engine is extremely
strong and powerful and this particular car also drives
magnificently - it must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated
- drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes
or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any
modern day car a run for it's money! The transmission shifts
smoothly through all the gears and the car has four virtually new
wide white wall tires. Please note that the car also has it's
original spare wheel and tire and original jack as previously
stated and all the options are working as they should including the
air conditioning! This is a rare opportunity to own a rare fully
loaded and great daily driving and mostly all original and
completely rust free example of a 1965 Cadillac Eldorado
Convertible! A super striking example to boot in this classic 'Jade
Firemist' color with a black leather bucket seats interior!
