This is the car that introduced the current generation to one of the most amazing Mustangs to hit the Silver Screen. Like Eleanor in “Gone in 60 Seconds” paid homage to the 1974 Movie, The Highland Green Bullitt Mustangs do the same thing for the unforgettable and forever immortalized 1968 Steve McQueen Movie, “Bullitt”.
2001 was the first year for the 21st century Bullitt Mustangs that give a nod to the 1968 Highland Green fastback that tore up the streets of San Francisco along with a black Dodge Charger in the movie. The chase scene in the movie is regarded as one of the most “High Energy” chases you will ever see...Including the ones we see in today's films.
This particular Bullet Mustang is really in a class all by it's self as it has traveled just 600 miles since new...A museum piece really.
This was the only year Ford intended to build a Bullitt Mustang until they made another run in 2008 for the 40th anniversary of the film, and now for 2019 we see the latest in the Bullitt Mustang offering.
This Bullitt Mustang comes with some very exclusive documentation, including the original window sticker, a Marti report, and a bulletin with a numbered decal indicating the dealer should NOT give the customer the decal.
This Bullitt was originally purchased by an authorized Ford dealership owner that kept it in his personal museum until last year when the current owner purchased it.
It would be difficult to find a nicer, lower mileage 2001 Bullitt Mustang anywhere, and coupled with the original documentation, and proper maintenance this car has enjoyed, you can be sure you are making a quality investment.
