For Sale: 1934 Chevrolet Coupe in Liberty Hill, Texas

Vehicle Description

Classic cars, hot rods, street rods--cars in general mean different things to different people.  To Ronnie Jones his '34 Chevy has just one meaning: fun, big time fun!  Ronnie built the sedan to drive to shows, cruise-ins, car functions, and even the grocery store.  Now just because Ronnie wanted a "driver" doesn't mean any shortcuts were taken during the buildup.  Only quality workmanship and top-shelf parts were used on the project.

The original '34 chassis was stripped, sandblasted, boxed, and repainted.  Next a Mustang II IFA with GM power steering and power-assisted disc brakes was added to the '34 chassis.  Out back Ronnie opted for a '67 Corvette 3:08 differential and independent suspension.  To reinforce his statement of quality and eye-pleasing equipment for the sedan Ronnie had the entire Corvette unit chrome-plated.

The heartbeat of the sedan is a fresh Corvette 327-cubic inch, 350-horsepower small block with a turbo 350 tranny.  The mouse received a pair of late-model aluminum heads to compliment the stock balanced rotating assembly.  Supplying plenty of 93 octane is a 600cfm Edelbrock carburetor resting on a chrome Edelbrock aluminum intake.  To handle the toxic waste situation Ronnie relies on Sanderson headers ad a custom 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust system.  The eye candy is provided by billet and chrome engine accessories.

Eddie Bodeneamer form B&C Automotive in Rural Hall, North Carolina, worked his magic on the sedan's body panels.  The only deviation from the original body was filling the roof with a ribbed top.  The remainder of Eddie's efforts centered around smoothing the body and making sure the final fit and finish was perfect.  Not until everyone involved was satisfied with the metalwork did Eddie apply the PPG Vanilla Shake giving the '34 an incredible finish.

Check out the cool stitching by Robert Poole of Salisbury, North Carolina.  Robert used vanilla, aqua, and rose-colored ultra leather to get the desired results Ronnie wanted for the sedan.  The filled and painted dash now houses VDO instruments, a JVC AM/FM-CD sound system and the A/C vent and controls.  The finishing touch for the classy interior features an aqua leather-wrapped Billet Specialties Classic steering wheel mounted on a GM tilt column.  when it came time to choose the rolling stock, Ronnie wanted something that would give the '34 an added touch of class.  For that Ronnie chose billet Specialties wheels.  The front Billets are  14"x6" with 205/70R14", and the rear carries 235/70R15" surrounding 15"x7"Billets.
