came with the 429 motor and C6 automatic transmission
combination.
Mechanical:
This bright red XL has a very potent N-code 429 rated at 360
horsepower mated to a C6 shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission that is
shifted by it's column mounted shifter. It has many options
including Power steering, Power brakes, factory Air conditioning,
Independent front suspension with coil springs a live rear axle
with leaf springs, a 121" wheel base chassis, classic 5 spoke
chrome mag wheels, Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires, a very clean and
detailed engine compartment with chrome valve covers and air
cleaner, performance distributor, coil, and spark plug wires, tube
headers, aluminum intake, performance carb, dual exhaust, and so
much more.
Interior:
The interior in our LTD is a great plush white front and rear bench
seat with watching white door panels. It has plenty of room for
four or more to cruise in comfort, performance, and style. The
black dash has a wrap-around instrument panel with plenty of wood
trim, factory and Auto Meter performance gauges, speedometer, and
an AM/FM Stereo radio.
Exterior:
In 1971 and what is the current fashion, big cars were in and our
1971 Ford LTD Convertible was one of the biggest made back then at
nearly 18 feet. It has a wide open grill, four headlights and not
only the LTD badging displayed prominently on the front, but also
the 429 Emblems telling everybody you got the hottest engine
offered.
