The silken inline-6 is back by a Getrag 5-speed gearbox and a limited slip rear differential. 1993 saw the introduction of the M System II wheels (colloquially known as the "Throwing Star" wheel) which replaced the boring M System I "Turbine"-style wheels, making its appearance more aggressive and appropriate. In addition, BMW added new "M-Technic" aero side-view mirrors to replace the plebian 5-series units, exterior door handles with the "M Motorsport" script, as well as Dark Birdseye Maple interior trim.This honest example on offer was an early production car built in 09/1992 for the Canadian market and sold new by MTK Auto West LTD in Richmond, British Columbia on August 3, 1993. Painted in Sterling Silver, it's one of only 18 cars produced in this color for the entire '93 production run. As a Canadian market car it came standard with a ski bag pass through, headlamp washers, and seat warmers. It also features the aforementioned M System II wheels (forged), standard ABS braking, ellipsoid projector beam headlamps, free form fog lamps, rear decklid spoiler, one-touch electric windows and sunroof, and cruise control. The interior shows in exceptional condition and boasts Silvergrey Nappa leather, the Birdseye Maple trim, an on-board computer (all display pixels are in perfect order!), service indicator, an updated back-lit shift handle, and even its original cassette deck.Recent detailed service includes Pilot Super Sport tires, front struts, new brakes, transmission synchros, and an up-to-date service including spark plugs.
