Simple and Sturdy was still the common theme for off-road utility
vehicles in the early years. Which is why today they are sought
after for those woodland and camping adventures. However, as many
of you know it is hard to find a rust free example in most parts of
the US. The only place they have really survived with out constant
rust repair is the dry SouthWest. This Scout comes directly from
the Lake Havasu area. It has been a rust free example including
frame that just went through a new paint as it came in with some
rear end damage from a accident. The Frame was untouched but the
rear quarters had some repair. This Scout is fitted with a rebuilt
GM 383 Cubic Inch Stroker motor mated to the original International
automatic transmission. It has all new brakes and tires and is
ready to be enjoyed for whatever you have in mind. It starts,
brakes and goes down the road as you would expect it to. The paint
is new and shines nicely.
