1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Well Kept and Highly Original - Original Sales Receipts - Cragar S/S wheels - Solid Body and Frame - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Here's a well kept classic great for cruising, cars and coffee, or shows. According to documentation we have, which includes the original sales invoice, this car was purchased new in June of '65 in Montana. A gentleman traded his '59 Galaxie for this Rangoon Red '65 Galaxie. Initially sold as an affordable luxury sedan for the family, we think this Galaxie would fit right in sharing garage space with some muscle cars, or classic cars. This classic Ford sedan is finished in the factory correct color combination of Rangoon Red with Wimbledon White top and red interior. The body and trim are in remarkably good condition for such a highly original sedan. A 200ci Inline-6 is found under the hood in a very tidy engine bay. A Cruise-O-Matic 'Dual Range' Automatic transmission handles gear selection. Cragar S/S chrome wheels hide drum brakes front and rear, and add a unique look to the car. Ford's luxurious interior still looks great after all these years. Other than a modern radio being added in the glovebox and a speaker hidden under the dashboard, this interior is highly original. Interior upholstery, panels, and trim, are all in very good condition for the age and mileage. The seats in this car are as comfortable as your grandmother's floral couch......minus the plastic covers.... Galaxie Sedans of this model year and body style are not easy to find since most of them were just used as a regular family sedan, not preserved like many sports or muscle cars of the era. This Galaxie might not be the fastest on the block but it's a well preserved, unique vehicle with some character, sure to put a smile on your face.
