The off-the-frame resto-mod on this beautiful 55, was completed over a 2 year period in Wayne, MI. You can read pretty much the entire story of the restoration process, including modifications, new parts and finishes starting in the August 2002 Issue of CLASSIC CHEVY WORLD, (the start of the resto) and the March 2004 Issue of CLASSIC CHEVY WORLD Magazine, featuring the the finished restoration project. Both articles can be found in the attached photo files. I am the 3rd owner of the car including the owner of the 2004 resto-mod. The odometer reads 15,500 miles on a 1999 rebuilt 350 engine. Some of the parts that were installed during the restoration include, a tilt steering wheel, a polished manifold, Edelbrock 605 carburetor, aluminum valve covers, MSD ignition box, polished BeCool Radiatior, Hedman polished headers, chrome alternator, aluminum hoses, 2 inch dropped spindles, air shocks in the rear, three chamber Flow Master muffler system with 2-1/2 pipes (for the right sound), new door and trunk locks, front and rear re-chromed bumpers, solid red tail light covers and 15 inch Cragar chrome Mags (including spinners), all electrical has been rewired and power front windows. Today, the car sports new COOPER COBRA RADIAL G/T tires, Vintage Air (a must here in the Las Vegas area) and a New AM-FM-Satellite Radio System. Most everything else you can see in the photos. It was a 50 year dream of mine to own a 55 Bel Air like this one, but now it is time for someone else to enjoy!!
