cared for roadster had accumulated only 30K actual miles in its
fifty years of existence before a just-completed comprehensive
restoration resulting in a remarkably detailed and correct example.
Originally ordered with performance in mind with the presence of
the Turbo-Jet big-block 427 power plant producing a thundering 435
horsepower, the Corvette is a no-nonsense muscle car that is ready
to be driven. This Detroit muscle is put to the ground through a
Muncie 4-speed gearbox and the timeless 8 wide Chevrolet Rally
wheels with standard four-wheel disc brakes. The voluptuous
Stingray body contours include, new for 1969, a set of functional
side vents on the front fenders that assist the engine cooling
duties. Documentation includes the original Owner's Manual in
addition to the original Chevrolet New Vehicle Warranty and Owner
Protection Plan booklet that contains the coveted Protect-O-Plate.
The original Tank Sticker is present too but unfortunately did not
age as well as the rest of the Corvette with the document in
distressed condition. This is a highly attractive, well-documented,
and exceptionally restored example. As such, this outstanding
Corvette has potential for both show and tour, as well as continued
