A real-deal 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport is a wonderful thing.
But then when you check out all the upgrades, including the paint,
interior, suspension, overdrive transmission, and V8 power, and you
start to see all-around great coupe.
While a full-size vintage coupe is always a great idea, this one
seems to do it better than the rest. The '66 Impalas were part of a
new era that made them longer, lower, and sleeker. Plus, the crisp
lines with a "kick up" behind the rear door makes this downright
sporty. The red paint seems to capture this attitude nicely by
offering a higher degree of gloss and shine with the modern
application. Plus, you have the best in brightwork with pieces like
the wraparound bumpers and full-width grille. You're looking at a
real-deal code-68 Super Sport, so even the fender badging is
correct. But the shine you're probably looking at most are the
modern US Mags alloys. They are staggered 17/18 inches front/rear
to give an added aggressive stance that's perfect for this red
SS.
The moment you open the door, you can instantly tell this is an
upgrade over factory. After all, they never made high-back bucket
seats that could hug your body like the ones here do. These have
great-looking cloth inserts, and the rear seats were upgraded to
match. There are even provisions for air conditioning if you want
to keep everyone comfortable in this full-size hardtop. But while
there's plenty of room to carry family and friends, you also know
that the driver is always the most important. That's why there are
nice upgrades like the sports steering wheel and B&M floor
shifter.
The 350 cubic-inch small block is the right upgrade for this Impala
SS. It has performance enhancements like a four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock aluminum intake, and headers feeding the dual exhaust.
It's a strong motor, and it even has the right supporting
components, like an HEI ignition and aluminum radiator. This Impala
was built to be a cruiser, and so they upgraded it in terrific
ways. This includes new front end components within the last year,
front disc brakes, power steering, and new tires. There's even a
four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive. So
this is the hardtop that's easy to enjoy near or far.
This is a distinct package with the upgrades you want, so don't let
this Impala SS slip away, call today!
