1938 LaSalle Business Coupe Resto-Mod.
LaSalle was the sister brand to the Cadillac and was the brain child of Harley Earl and from 1927 – 1940 filled the gap between Buick and Cadillac. This Business Coupe Series 50 has been restored and the outward and interior appearance is original with a few minor exceptions. As a result, with a fresh Chevrolet 350 backed up by a three-speed automatic and Ford 8 inch rear end this vehicle provides driving reliability with the look and feel of a 1938.
Body off restoration included all new suspension components (springs, shocks rebuilt, new brake cylinders and shoes and drums turned, etc.), complete re-wiring, gages rebuilt, AC, cruise control and Sony Bluetooth radio and separate amp added. As seen in the pictures the dash appears original until the ash tray and glove box are opened to access the control.
Exterior paint is flawless with one minor exception between the hood and cowl that would be easy to touch up (touch up paint provided) and is painted in an original Edgewood Green and optional Flare Red wheels. All chrome was professionally restored and is in perfect shape. Headlamps modified to accept halogen lamps with integral turn signal bulbs.
If you are looking for a period correct, head turning vehicle with the ability to drive with no worries, look no further.
