This1971 Lotus Elan Sprint was the subject of a frame-up rebuild
managed byLotus-specialist Rich Kamp at Sonoma Raceway and
completed in 2003. Highlights included a new Spyder frame, bodywork
and paint, an overhauled suspension, brake work, a redone interior,
and more as described below. The 1593cc twin-cam inline-four was
overbored and rebuilt by Kampe�a Motors, while the semi-close ratio
four-speed gearbox uses a magnesium case,aluminum tail housing,
3.77:1 limited-slip differential, and CV-joint half-shafts.
Approximately 3,100 miles have been added since completion of the
refurbishment, and the seller purchased the car in February 2006.
