Vehicle Description
1993 Lincoln Town Car
The second-generation Town Car was a sales success and became one
of the best-selling full-size U.S. luxury sedans. During the late
1980s and early 1990s, Town Car sales regularly exceeded 100,000
units with 120,121 Town Cars being sold in 1994 alone. Following
the discontinuation of the Cadillac Fleetwood by General Motors
after 1996, the Lincoln Town Car became the longest-length
regular-production sedan sold in the United States.
For consignment an original 1993 Town Car. This curved shaped
re-designed vehicle, in very good condition with a consigner stated
70,000+ miles, runs nicely, and provides its passengers with a
comfortable ride.
Exterior
Opal Gray Pearlescent Clearcoat Metallic coats the exterior steel
panels that are straight, and mind their gaps throughout. In front
a nice vertical polished vertical striped grille is flanked by
aerodynamic built in head lights, parking lights and turn signals.
Badging is correct and clean on the grille. Following a long hood
back to a large 4 door passenger compartment, electronic digital
locks are seen on the doors up front. The rear "C" pillar has an
opera window which has "Executive Series" badging. A spacious trunk
and rounded integrated taillights, and a body matching wrap around
bumper complete the exterior. Standard spoked Lincoln badged wheels
are all around.
Interior
Up front a digital dash in blue LED form sits within a burl wood
frame and is surrounded by stitched gray leather padding.
Conveniences such as climate control, an AM/FM/CD player, cruise
control, power seat adjustments, power windows, power mirrors, and
power door locks are noted. A large split bench made up of two
spacious buckets with built in armrests stretch across the front,
and a large comfortable spacious luxurious bench across the back.
These are all covered in plentiful and firm foam and wrapped in
gray leather. Gray carpet floods the floor and is in good unstained
condition, and the headliner is stretched tight, and is very
clean.
Drivetrain
A 4.6 Liter SOHC Fuel Injected V8 sits within a clean engine bay
and shows well with little to no corrosion. It is connected to a
4-speed automatic AOD-E transmission, which shifts smoothly and
effortlessly.
Undercarriage
Presenting structurally sound and clean, this undercarriage shows
some surface rust only on uncoated steel surfaces. Floorpans,
rockers, toe kicks and frame are all totally rust free. Under door
framing is near perfect.
Nicely presenting, clean, tasteful colored, Lincoln. If you are
looking for the classic early '90's ride your grandfather loved,
then you need to come into the halls of Classic Auto Mall and have
a look at this cream puff. Well maintained and garage kept, it led
a good life, and has plenty left in her.
