Vehicle Description
In your travels to cars shows and dragstrips you may have
encountered a '66 Chevelle or two. For many good reasons, these
cars are popular hot rods. So it is indeed something special when
one of them makes you stand up and take notice. This is such a car.
Its excellent execution and tasteful integration of components make
it a solid stand out. The bright red paint, wide white letter
tires, and Corvette Rally wheels make a classic statement. All the
proper SS badges and the power bulge hood just look natural in
their positions. Opening that hood reveals a sweet big block and an
engine bay that is impressively orderly and attractive without
excess flash. The big block is a 402 LS3 with a chrome open-element
air cleaner on top. It has those hard-to-beat chrome Chevy valve
covers complete with the callout to the Number One Team at the
Tonawanda NY engine plant. The aluminum Edelbrock intake looks like
it just came out of the box; and a set of headers complete an
engine bay that is simply as it should be. The interior is also "on
another level." White bucket seats and a center console are not
often seen in a '66, but this one adds power windows to the mix.
And would you believe a power antenna? The stock dash and steering
wheel are surrounded by period-correct additions like an under-dash
tach and triple auxiliary gauges. All the good stuff is here for
sure, plus this 1966 Chevelle presents with a top-tier level of
refinement and detail. Even the undercarriage is immaculate.
