Wearing a great exterior shade to complement its first generation
looks, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle should be high up on the "must
see" list for any enthusiast searching for a powerful, solidly
driving muscle car. It's got a very smooth powerplant working away
under its hood and from front to back, this is one well put
together vintage Chevy.
We appreciate the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into
properly customizing a classic, but from time to time it's still
nice to see one come through the decades still in possession of its
original configuration, as this Chevelle has. The Marina Blue shade
it wears was the absolute favorite back in its heyday - it was
literally worn by Chevelles more than any other color the year this
'67 came out - and it's well-represented here, with a strong,
smooth finish and a glossy shine that comes alive in the sunlight.
From the front grille bracketed by a signature pair of dual
headlights, back to the tail light panel, the bright work on this
Chevy is in consistently solid shape - a simple polishing will have
it in top form in no time. Both the front and rear bumpers sit nice
and level and, upon closer inspection, you'll see that the glass
surrounding the cabin as well as the doors is well-protected by
newly installed rubber seals.
Climb inside and you'll be in the middle of a very fresh-looking,
period correct driving environment. Both the front and rear bench
seats have been recovered in black vinyl and have yet to show much
wear as they sit over an expanse of black carpeting that also
appears to be newly installed. Once inside, your eyes will likely
be drawn to the door panels on each side. They've also been
reupholstered and it was a really nice job performed - their tuck
and roll textured surfaces tie in nicely with the interior
upholstery in both front and back, and they sit flush against their
steel frames. Beyond the blue badged steering wheel on its tilt
column, the dash area is also in solid shape, with a clear readable
display inside the instrument cluster and an AM/FM/cassette stereo
on hand to lend its period-correct technology to your driving
experience.
This classic muscle car is well configured to provide an
exhilarating yet dependable driving experience. The 350 cubic inch
crate engine under the hood is in top form, starting right up with
the turn of a key and pulling with conviction. It wears an
Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake manifold on top and teams with a
4-speed automatic 700r4 transmission whose overdrive gear provides
low revs at highway speeds. The powerplant breathes nice and easy
as it exhales into a pair of aftermarket headers leading to a
stainless steel exhaust and an HEI ignition is now on board to heat
up the available spark. Drop spindles combine with lowering springs
to provide an awesome stance and a lower center of gravity, while
coil springs in back alleviate the chatter and binding around the
corners that often plague leaf spring set-ups. This beloved classic
cruises on a set of 15" Rally wheels sporting Cooper Cobra white
letter tires, while its featured power steering makes for easy
navigation, and power disc brakes at all four corners bring
low-effort, fade resistant stops. Below, the undercarriage looks
very much up to the task of providing many more years of
service.
While many well-configured muscle cars may have that "wow" factor
to draw you in, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle also possesses a rock
solid running condition to really set it apart. Call today!
