Vehicle Description
Body amp; Paint: The body on the Mustang is in great condition with
no dents or scratches that I saw, the paint is original and in
excellent shape for it being all original. The chrome on the car
still holds a nice shine and accents the car nicely. After decoding
the car we found that the antique bronze color was the original
color of the vehicle along with the convertible body and black
convertible top, all have been decoded to be original to the car.
We also found the original stamped numbers on the inner fenders of
the car.Engine amp; Transmission: The Mustang sports a 289ci 2V V8
engine with a C4 automatic transmission. Both the engine and
transmission have been decoded and are found to be the original
engine and transmission put in the car at the factory. The cars
starts, runs and drives great for an original car of its
age!Interior: The interior of the Mustang is a bit worn, however it
has been decoded to be the original black crinkle vinyl and black
rosette vinyl standard interior that came with the vehicle and does
not appear to have been touched up at all, completely original.
Wheels amp; Tires: The Mustang is sitting on 14in Cientra Plus
whitewall tires with the one of the original style Ford Mustang
wheels used on factory Mustangs in 1966. The tires and wheels
appear to be original, however there was no way for us to confirm
this.Suspension: The Mustang sits on its factory suspension which
is, as the rest of the car is, completely original. Our decoding
proved that the axle is a limited slip axle with a 2.80:1 gear
ratio and it still rides very nice down the road.Electrical:
Everything on the Mustang appears to work as it should including
the powered retractable convertible top.Glass: The glass on the
Mustang is in excellent condition all the way around.History: We
acquired the Mustang from a collector out of Pennsylvania.
According to the previous owner it is a two owner vehicle, is 100%
original, has 46,000 original miles and has been sitting in a
museum for over twenty years! We decoded the Vin and body on this
vehicle and found it had been stamped at the factory in Metuchen,
NJ on March 2, 1966 and was registered to the dealer sales office
in Washington.Located: This vehicle is now located at Blackhawk
