EXTERIOR: Wow, this is a showstopper. A black Corvette fastback
will turn heads on it's own. Add True Fire paint, chrome wheels and
pipes, there won't be a person with a pulse that won't look at it.
The body is really straight, both doors fit nice and close like
new. I don't see any damage or cracking. The black paint is glossy.
The True Fire paint is really done well, truly art. There are
skulls incorporated into the flames. The flames are smooth, under
the clear. All the chrome is bright- the bumpers, tail lights,
mirrors, handles, gas cap etc. New weatherstrips and custom sill
plates. New 17 inch American Racing chrome wheels have new
performance Yokohama tires. The new chrome pipes not only look
great but sound awesome too.
INTERIOR: Inside is actually very close to stock. Seats are new
soft leather with 65 Stingray embroidered on them. New carpet,
floormats have Corvette embroidered that matches the seats. Dash
area is stock, still has factory Am-Fm radio, stock gauges and
stock shifter. It was a factory air conditioned car, still has
vents and controls. It makes it that much easier to add air if you
decide to. Stock door panels. The True Fire was applied overhead
around the done light.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is really tricked out with lots of chrome
and True Fire paint. The 327 motor has double hump heads, polished
aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke and headers.
Matched set of chrome Edelbrock valve covers, breathers and air
cleaner. The alternator, brackets and water pump has been chromed.
Has ignition shielding, hoses are braided stainless, has machine
turned metal trim too. The True Fire is on the bottom of the hood,
the fan shroud and even the individual fan blades. Has power
brakes.
UNDERSIDE: It is respectable. Floors are undamaged raw fiberglass.
Front end components look good. Bottom of motor is clean, has high
torque starter. Has correct Muncie 4-speed trans. Rare drum brakes.
Only 316 out of the 23,562 Corvettes made has drum brakes, making
this one of the rarest Corvettes made in 1965!
It is an exciting car, the new owner will have lots of fun.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
