This 1993 Corvette ZR1 is a very unique, very special Corvette for several reasons. First of all the ZR1 Corvettes of this vintage we're the top factory production Corvettes obtainable, just like today's ZR1. Secondly, this particular Corvette ZR1 is not only a 40th anniversary edition, of which there were only 245 units produced, and of those just 240 were issued for public consumption.
The above statement aside, what makes this ZR1 even more unique is that no other ZR1 Corvette has won as many NCRS Top Flight awards including the highly sought after, and rare “Dave Hill award of excellence”.
Additionally, this ZR1 has every option that could be ordered. Finished in it's original Anniversary color of Ruby Red Metallic with matching interior, the heart of the ZR1 Corvette lies beneath the hood. The 5.7 Liter Mercury Marine V8 is truly a marvel in and of itself.
The engineers wanted a power plant that could withstand the durability that could pull a Corvette around the circumference of the earth at a constant speed of 180 miles per hour. After much refinement and astronomical cost...This engine is the result of those efforts. Thanks to the dedication of those charged to develop the ZR1, this engine became the launching pad of the strength, durability, and performance of the engines in today's Corvettes...Impressive to say the least!
What's more, is that this ZR1 aside from it's extensive award winning pedigree, and excellent documentation, is that it starts, runs, and drives beautifully!
Sure, it's nice to have a cool collectable car that wins awards and trophies, and has unmatched provenance to prove it's importance, but add to all of this a car that's actually reliable and fun to drive puts this Corvette in rare company. This Corvette has traveled 47,525 miles during it's life, and I suspect it's enjoyed every mile!
