GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 2 family owned, Survivor
1968 Plymouth Fury III for your consideration. The word "survivor"
gets tossed around often in the classic car world, but when you
meet a true "survivor" it is pretty unique. The Fury model line was
the full-size models that dealerships could put on display to draw
customers in to their showrooms. They were big, bold, and contained
the best features available. The 4th generation of full-size
Plymouths were designated as Fury I, Fury II, and Fury III. The
Fury I's were bare bones sold mostly to police & taxi fleets. The
Fury II was nicely featured while the Fury III was the top of the
line.
The car is finished in factory original Mist Green with a vinyl top
over a two tone green interior. Cosmetically this car is in
excellent condition and shows very well. According to the owner the
car still retains the original drive train to the car. The 318 v8
fires right up and the automatic transmission shifts as it should.
When the car was purchased new, the underside was fully
undercoated. The car rides on era correct Magnum wheels, the car
also comes with the original wheels and hubcaps as well. The AM
radio works as it should. Other highlights include power brakes,
power steering, CB radio and antenna, spare tire and jack. This is
quite possibly the finest 1968 Fury III survivor on the planet!
