Just in and priced for a fast sale! This is a very rare California
rust-free 1946 Packard Clipper Deluxe Club Sedan. We love the sexy
and sleek styling of the Club Sedans. And this one is painted in a
very striking two-tone of Laguna Maroon metallic complimented with
a French Gray metallic on the upper section. We especially love the
skirted fenders and the sun visor. Giving this the classic Packard
look for the post-War period. Most of the chrome has been re-plated
and looks great. The two rear bumper wings could benefit from
re-plating, otherwise the cosmetics are very nice. This is really a
tour car that would be welcomed at most all car shows and regional
concours events. But it is not meant to be a show car. This is a
nice driving Packard that is meant to be driven and enjoyed. This
was sold new in 1946 in Los Angeles by the famous Earl C Anthony
dealership. It stayed in California through its life until we
purchased it a few months ago. The previous owners restored much of
the car, rebuilding the 288 cu in straight eight and doing a
cosmetic restoration. The interior is done very well in modern gray
materials. The look is great and it is very practical for touring
and use. For show it is not the correct wool broadcloth, but no one
but a Packard guru would likely know the difference anyway! The
door surrounds are still in the original form and need to be
refinished, most likely in the body color (similar to the
dashboard). These are incredibly rare, especially the Club Sedans.
More details will be coming. The Packard is in our Phoenix showroom
