I have owned many classic and modern SUVs and this by far has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I acquired this International Scout II a few years ago from the second owner. The Scout had only 56,000 original miles and was still powered by the original 345. Though I loved the originality I wanted to make the Scout more dependable and reliable. I sent the vehicle off to the best Scout Shop in the Country to have a modern drivetrain installed along with many other custom touches. The Scout is now powered by a 6.0L Vortec LS motor mated to a 4L65 transmission. Though I have only put approximately 500 miles on this new setup it is unbelievable how amazing it handles and drives. This would make for a great weekend camping vehicle or even a daily driver. Life happens and things come up that are forcing me to sale but I am already regretting the decision as I know vehicles likes this do not come along very often.
