Vehicle Description
STK 2590 1986 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible
The first Chrysler 'woody' convertibles, built between 1946 and
1949, weighed in at just over two tons. Badged as the Chrysler New
Yorker 'Town and Country' and equipped with 'FluidDrive' their 0-60
time was right at 18 seconds. The next model of the 'Town and
Country' convertible, the Chrysler LeBaron, wasn't introduced until
1983 and was built through 1986. It was based on the FWD Chrysler
K-car platform and was a much better performer. The simulated
wood-grain trim was meant to reflect the classic look of that
1940's New Yorker model. Our original, garage kept 'Mark Cross
Edition' 1986 LeBaron convertible is very much a time-capsule
Chrysler. A reading of just over 66,000 on the odometer may well be
the actual miles. The original White finish, simulated wood-grain
trim and power top are all in very good condition. Standard
equipment on the 'Mark Cross Edition' includes: special tan leather
seating, A/C, cruise, power tinted windows, power seats/locks,
leather-wrapped tilt wheel and AM/FM/Cassette sound system. This
LeBaron is powered by Chrysler's 2.2L SOHC 4-cylinder equipped with
a Garret T03 turbocharger. Output is rated at 142bhp and backed by
a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission throttle response is
good. The chassis is equipped with power rack/pinion steering,
power disc/drum brakes and 14"steel wheels w/wire wheel covers that
mount whitewall Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials. This original LeBaron
convertible, 1 of 501 produced in 1986, will not be here long. Come
take a closer look at this beautiful 'Woody'. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
