For Sale: 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia in Denver, Colorado

Vehicle Description

This Karman Ghia is the ultimate custom rebuild. An ultimate sleeper, it was built with the intent to be able to chase and catch the crotch rockets in the Colorado Mountains and leave all the Corvettes and Porsches in the dust. The odometer reading is for the original body of the Karmann Ghia. We could not replace it to reflect the actual odometer reading of the new engine from the Subaru engine. The new Subaru engine had only 7000 miles at the time of the rebuild. The build was performed by a professional Volkswagen and classic car restorer in 2008 over the course of 9 months. Since then, it has been stored indoors. The paint and body is in excellent to good condition. There has been less than 100 miles driven in it since 2008. This car roars! This Ghia is old AS IS. Body of 1970 Karman Ghia.

Subaru 2.5 EJ fuel injected 4cyl engine 175hp with fewer than 7000mi on

Media blast prior to paint. 

Pan has engine coolant plumbing fabricated throughout pan. 

Radiator mount pivots for easy access. Also mounted in spare tire for sleeper effect.

Radiator pulls air through fresh air grills and still allows freshair into cock pit.

Volkswagon Vanagon heater core under back seat and plumbed into original heat duct.. It HAS HEAT. 

Rear suspension has been sub framed to be rigid for handling along with supporting the weight of engine conversion.

Rear upper shock mounts relocated onto sub frame for better wear and corrected geometry angle.

Suspension has been well fortified for handling.

Rigid transmission and motor mounts (steel/urethane)

All new wiring from Wiring Works USA kit.

Every nut and bolt has been removed and replaced or restored.

Stinger standalone ECU with ignition module with modified wiring loom from Out Back Motorsports.

Kennedy adapter/fly wheel.

Kennedy 1700 stage 1 clutch.

Kush lock disc.

Out front Motorsports custom dual exhaust with turnablepolished stainless steel spark arrestors.

Steve Humphrey built transmission with fortification to handle increased horse power.
