Originally introduced in 1993 for the final year of the Fox
platform Mustang, the SVT Cobra remained one of the most desirably
Mustang variants for years to come. In 2003, the next to last year
for the "New Edge" Mustang, the SVT Cobra was still a popular
performance model. Though the Cobra R was also available and may
have surpassed the SVT Cobra in performance, it also surpassed the
SVT Cobra in cost and thus the "regular" SVT Cobra remained a
choice for discerning yet cost-conscious buyers. The SVT Cobra has
long been a household name for young car enthusiasts, particularly
for those that were getting involved with vehicle during the New
Edge era.
This 2003 SVT Cobra was evidently squirreled away by an owner that
wanted to preserve it for the future, and then again by the next
owner. Believe it or not, this car has covered less than 7,000
miles since new in 2003! One look up close and you'd never doubt
it; this car is just about as mint as they come minus a few minor
aftermarket additions including American Muscle wheels, chrome
COBRA bumper lettering, and a shorty antenna. The original antenna
is included with the sale, but should the next owner want original
SVT wheels they will need to be sourced separately. The exterior is
nearly flawless and looks almost showroom fresh! Both the top and
paint are in fantastic condition and this may just be the cleanest
New Edge Mustang we have seen here.
The interior is just as minty fresh as the exterior, if not more
so! The seats look brand new aside from some minor wear on the
driver's seat from entry and exit over the years. As a whole, the
interior looks exactly as it should in a car with less than 7,000
miles on it! It is comfortable and everything works exactly as it
should. With that low of mileage, this may as well be a new car,
and it functions as such.
Under the hood sits a supercharged 4.6L Ford V8 which provides more
than ample power for a car of this size and weight. To be precise,
this puppy cranks out 390 horsepower with no modifications made
outside of the factory. Enthusiastically referred to as "The
Terminator Cobra" in the enthusiast community, this power plant is
more than enough to back up the Terminator name. The engine bay is
just as clean as one would expect it to be on a car of this mileage
and condition.
There are no disappointments to be had here! This Mustang runs,
drives, and looks just like a brand-new 2003 Cobra. If you missed
