Vehicle Description
Some cars are just slicker than others. After all, that's why you
stopped to check out this 1963 Chevrolet Impala restomod. With less
than 3,000 miles since its frame-off restoration, it's an
award-winning powerful V8 coupe that's loaded with everything from
an overdrive transmission to a custom A/C interior. In total, it's
the perfect mix of butter-smooth freshness and serious upgrades in
the driving experience.
You already know why the '63 Impala is such a cool ride. It has the
right styling touches that seemed to define the era, and this
example has truly maximized them. For example, they spent a ton of
time and money making sure the body panels were straight. Then they
even took care of details, like expertly deleting trim and the door
handles. So now you have nothing to get in the way of showing off
some of the best styling elements. You see it in the well-creased
sheetmetal that have lines that run the full length of the car, one
of the most dramatic hardtop profiles to hit the road, and a trunk
lid that dips in the middle for an artful touch that you know was
expensive to create back in the day. You can see all this so well
because of an expert application of the paint. Brilliant Silver is
a Mercedes color, and it certainly lives up to its name as it loves
to radiate in the sunlight. The only pieces shining brighter are
the mirror-like chrome bumpers, crystal clear headlights, and the
polished Intro wheels. Not only are those alloys staggered 18/20
inches front/rear, but also they sit on a lowered stance, so this
coupe also hints at the extra power within.
You might have tinted windows, but the hardtop profile means you
can roll them all down and easily show off the interior. And that's
exactly what you'll want to do, because the full custom experience
continues on the inside. You can wow them with door poppers on your
wireless remote, and then watch everyone marvel at the silver and
gray interior with a bold yellow streak for accenting. And while
the presentation is award-worthy, it's also built for comfort.
Everyone gets a bucket seat finished in leather, and the front two
power adjust to your ideal position. There's the best in features,
including ice-cold air conditioning, power locks, an alarm system,
a custom cup holder center console, an AM/FM/CD stereo system. But
more than just comfortable, the leather-wrapped steering wheel,
Lokar shifter, and custom dash with AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges all
let you know this was built for performance, too.
The engine bay has an ultra-clean personation with slick
color-matched inner fenders and firewall funneling all your
attention to the shining V8. While they spent a ton on polished
components, there's also an investment in substance behind the
style. This is a 400 cubic-inch V8 that has been bored .30 over. So
you get a displacement to rival the big blocks in a small block
weight. And this motor has been fortified and enhanced for
performance, including upgraded pistons, roller cam, Crane roller
rockers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor on top. Hedman headers add even more power while also
contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. More than just pure
performance, you also have great everyday features, like upgraded
pulleys, an aluminum radiator, and dual electric fans. The same
usability can be seen in the 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission. It has a shift kit for performance driving, and it
will smoothly shift into overdrive comfort. Plus, power steering,
modern performance tires, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes
complete a great all-around restomod package.
Complete with build receipts, you'd expect to pay six-figures for a
powerful full custom machine like this. So if you act quickly, you
