Nissan only built a total of 12,045 1985 300ZX Turbos and most of them had automatic transmissions and non digital dashboards because of the higher MSRP. This car is an unrestored, original survivor with 34 years of patina. Car still shows mostly original paint. Still has original collapsable spare tire which has never been on the ground. Still has the original Nissan floor mats. Runs and drives nice - Just installed a new set of 4 all-seasons performance tires for the spring driving season. Car has the normal bumps and bruises from 34 years of use but over-all shows nice. Never been in an accident and never been smoked in. No rips or tears. NEVER BEEN MODIFIED OR MESSED WITH.
For an MSRP of just over $19,699 (that's about $46,500 in 2019 dollars), the 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo had excellent performance numbers for the price tag. 200 horsepower in a 3,139-pound car was hot stuff in 1985, a year in which the $24,873 Corvette had 230 horses moving 3,088 pounds and the $21,440 Porsche 944 offered 143 hp in a 2,675-pound car.
