This1977 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera is one of just over 700 US-spec
examples built for the model year and was sold new to baseball
player Pete Rose byCronins Porsche Audi of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Finished inSilver Metallic, the car was optioned from the factory
with a limited-slip differential, sport seats, and an electric
sunroof. Mr. Rose later sold the vehicle to his doctor in
Louisville, Kentucky, and it was acquired by a Mr.Driscoll of
Richmond, Virginia in 1986. Mr. Driscoll last registered the car
for road use in 2004, and the selling dealer recently acquired it
out of longterm storage. The odometer now indicates just under 90k
miles, and the numbers-matching turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six is
paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes that the
engine turns freely by hand, though the mechanical systems will
need inspection and servicing before the car can be driven. This
930 Turbo Carrera is now offered with a Porsche Production
Specifications certificate, prior inspection and registration
documentation, a workshop manual set, and a clean Texas title. This
