This 1950 Ford F-1 pickup was reportedly sold new in Glendora,
California and is said to have remained in the Los Angeles area
with two subsequent owners, one of whom kept it at a citrus farm
for over 35 years. The truck was purchased in 1999 by a former art
director at Road & Trackwho subsequently sold partial ownership to
a colleague at the magazine. Power is provided by a 226ci
inline-six paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, and the body
has been refinished in dark blue. Further modifications include
12-volt electrics, custom oak bed rails, and a cassette player. A
carburetor service was reportedly carried out several months ago
along with installation of new spark plugs, ignition cables, hoses,
and wiring. Now located in the Pacific Northwest, this F-1 is
offered by the seller on behalf of its co-owners with records, shop
manuals and catalogs, spare parts, a black California license
plate, and a clean Washington title in the current owners' names.
