A year full of impressive milestones.
May 25th 1977 George Lucas's Star Wars was released, four days
later race car driver A.J. Foyt would become the first driver to
win the Indianapolis 500 four times, Apple would officially begin
its rise to global fortune, Commodore company released the first
personal all in one computer.
For Chevrolet, however, the 1977 model year marked a significant
manufacturing milestone - the production of their 500,000th
Corvette
This was the last year with the flat rear glass. Many Corvette
enthusiasts prefer this model year because of the rear roof sail
panels.
Under the hood you will see the 383 stroker engine said to output
about 425 horse power with only 2,500 miles on it.
Picture it:
T-top off wind blowing in you hair as you fly down the highway
light-speed to your favorite burger place. This car screams
American classic and will most certainly take you to a Galaxy Far,
Far away.
