According to Maserati Classiche, this 3500 GT was originally
finished in Grigio Topo over a white interior. Built on September
24, 1959, the car was delivered new to Paris through Jean
Th�penier's distributorship. With the Paris Motor Show days away,
the car is believed to have been retained for display at the show.
It is thought to have suffered slight damage prior to the show but
was repaired in time to be presented. After the salon, the Maserati
was purchased by a Mr. Gadala from Cannes on October 27.
Interestingly, Maserati's internal notes show that the car returned
to the factory in March 1963 for a repair to the frame, though the
extent of the work is not known.
Gadala kept the Maserati until 1975, selling it to Jean Pierre
Cornu, who upgraded it with an original five-speed ZF gearbox.
Cornu sold the Maserati in 1982 to Gerard Bourdillon, the third
owner who eventually sold it to the consignor in 1992. In 2016, the
current owner commissioned a full mechanical restoration with
Maserati specialist Franco Tralli. A full repaint was done by
Carrozzeria Franchini in Modena, where it was refinished in a
lighter grey paint and fitted with an attractive contrasting dark
blue hardtop. The interior was also refinished in dark blue to
match.
Impeccably restored and having resided for 60 years in the C�te
d'Azur, this Maserati represents a great opportunity to acquire a
landmark Italian gran turismo.

Secondo Maserati Classiche, questa 3500 GT � stata originariamente
verniciata Grigio Topo su interni di colore bianco. Costruita il 24
settembre 1959, l'auto � stata consegnata nuova a Parigi,
attraverso il distributore della casa Jean Th�penier, solo pochi
giorni prima del Salone di Parigi. Per questo motivo, si ritiene
che la macchina sia rimasta dal rivenditore, in previsione del suo
utilizzo nello stand Maserati. Si crede anche che, la vettura,
abbia subito un piccolo danno proprio prima del salone e che sia
stata rapidamente riparata, giusto in tempo per essere presentata.
Dopo il salone, la Maserati � stata acquistata, il 27 di ottobre,
da un certo signor Gadala di Cannes. � interessante notare che le
note interne di Maserati riportano che l'auto � tornata in fabbrica
nel marzo del 1963 per ricevere una riparazione al telaio, anche se
l'estensione del lavoro non � stata indicata.
Gadala ha tenuto la Maserati fino al 1975, vendendola poi a Jean
Pierre Cornu, che ha aggiornato il cambio utilizzando uno ZF a
cinque marce originale. Cornu, nel 1982, ha poi venduto la Maserati
a Gerard Bourdillon, il terzo proprietario, che, nel 1992, l'ha poi
ceduta all'attuale conferente. Nel 2016, l'attuale proprietario ha
commissionato un restauro meccanico completo allo specialista
Maserati, Franco Tralli. Nel contempo, la vettura � stata
riverniciata completamente, presso la Carrozzeria Franchini di
Modena, utilizzando una vernice grigia di tonalit� pi� chiara ed il
padiglione del tetto � stato verniciato di un attraente tonalit� di
blu scoro a contrasto. In abbinamento, anche l'interno � stato
rifinito in blu scuro.
Restaurata in modo impeccabile, da 60 anni in Costa Azzurra, questa
Maserati rappresenta una grande opportunit� per acquistare una
pietra miliare delle vettura italiane gran turismo.
