This listing is for a 1987 Buick Grand National with t-top. I am helping an older friend who has recently retired, sell this car. Feel free to contact me with any questions and if I can't answer them, I will ask him. He has had the car since January of 2017. It has been garage kept since he has owned it. It has a clean North Carolina title. It is a true WE2 code. It has 112,527 miles on it. This is a nice driver quality car that needs a few items addressed. It runs, brakes and handles very well. It is a little cold-natured on start up which I hear is common with these cars.The driver side floor pan was replaced before getting the car and it was repainted at some point as well. There are some relatively minor imperfections, still a good driver quality paint job. The top panels function properly.

Positives- His mechanic has done most if not all of the work listed in the positives section within the last couple weeks.
- It runs very solid and holds 50psi at hot idle.
- Transmission shifts great.
- Maybe 200 miles on new tires.
- Brakes work great.
- Steering is very solid.
- It has a fresh tune-up with AC Delco parts.
- It just got a new fuel pump, sending unit, fuel filter, IAC, TPS, O2 sensor, all vacuum lines, power master brake accumulator and a new battery.
- New power seat track on driver seat.
- The dash is in good shape and gauges work.
- The mechanic repaired some inner fender rust and did not see any other rust of any concern.
Issues
- The biggest issue is probably the weatherstripping, it all needs replaced and the mechanic recommended not taking out the top panels until it is repaired, they do not currently leak.
- The A/C system is complete, but does not currently work. The mechanic believes the system needs charged or there is a leak in a line.
- It needs a fan timer relay which is currently bypassed.
- The stereo works, but it could use new speakers.
- Cruise control doesn't work.
- One muffler needs replaced.
- The sun visors need replaced or recovered. The carpet needs replaced.
- The horn trim ring is cracked.
- The jack is in the car, but it is missing the spare wheel.
- The antenna doesn't work, the motor is good.
- The alternator squeaks on start-up until warm. Mechanic said it has no charging issues.
- The interior has some stains and wear, especially the center console. I don't see any damage though. The driver seat was either replaced or recovered and the grey isn't quite the same as rest of seats.
- There is a drain on the battery, we're not sure where it's coming from but it itn't an issue as long as you start the car every 2 or 3 days. I have been keeping a trickel charger on it.
That pretty well covers everything, but please feel free to ask about anything I forgot to mention, I want the buyer to be happy and not have any bad surprises. For a car that is now over 30 years old, it is in nice overall shape. Thanks for looking!!
