Symbolic International is pleased to present this excellent "Signal
Red" 280SL Pagoda.
These 280's represented the final evolution of the Pagoda W113
series, which debuted in 1963 in the form of the 230SL.
While many cars engineered in the late 50's and early 60's feel and
drive like they are from that era, these SL's were decades ahead of
their time, in terms of build quality and driving characteristics.
For such small roadsters, they feel totally Mercedes-Benz....
meaning their doors close with the same vault-like clunk that their
larger sedan brothers exude, along with an exceptional neutral and
stable ride, thanks for their wide stance and power steering.
This particular example has benefitted form a restoration where it
was re-sprayed "Signal Red" and its newer Tan leather interior
shows basically as-new.
