Body was off the frame and on a rotisserie during a total
restoration. This is an excellent car in all regards. Restored in
Nevada by a man that only restored shoeboxes. I sold it 16 years
ago to a collector. He has been a very good customer typically
having about 5 high quality cars at a time. He gets bored and sells
them within a year or two. Not this Ford, it was far to good to let
go! It was the crown jewel of the many cars he's owned. Not only is
it cosmetically excellent, but the car functions like new too. He
put 7,000 careful, troublefree miles on the car. He drove it over
an hour to Volo and almost did a U-turn back home. It includes
great photos of the restoration and reproduction sales
literature.
EXTERIOR: Beautiful Sheridan blue. It's decked out with accessories
including a metal windshield visor, correct skirts with 3 ribs,
Ford fog lamps, very rare rear window wiper and in addition it also
has reverse lights, bumper guards, windshield squirters, dual
mirrors and hood ornament. Even the white wall tires are the
correct Firestones. Rims are restored and has the deluxe trim. The
body has no rust, it is very straight. Overall the paint is
polished a high gloss. There are some flaws, but considering it was
restored 17 years ago I think the body and paint are proven
winners. Every single piece of chrome was redone and sparkles.
Every piece of stainless trim was polished like new. All of the
glass is Ford script. All the rubber gaskets and fuzzy seals around
the windows were replaced. Door jambs are restored, latches
detailed, sill plates and weatherstrips replaced.
INTERIOR: Completely restored to factory new condition. Has the
proper two toned gray upholstery. The headliner, visors, armrests,
door panels were reupholstered just like it was when it was new.
Has the proper rubber mat in front, carpet in back. The dash area
is restored so nice it is a pleasure just to look at it. The metal
is painted a mirror finish. Every gauge, lense, chrome knob and
bezel are like new. Steering wheel restored like new. Inside the
glove box looks new, the light works. Actually everything works-
the original radio, clock, gauges, interior lights etc.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Everything under the hood was rebuilt, restored
and detailed to original specs. Correct wiring, hoses, clamps etc.
Has optional windshield washers and oil filter. The flathead V-8
purrs. Drive this car anywhere.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Also like new. It has the original type
rubberized sealer, correct mat, cardboard side walls, jack and
spare restored to match the other rims. Correct white wall tire.
Under the trunk lid is painted, latches are detailed.
UNDERSIDE: Like I said, the body was off the frame and on a
rotisserie. The underbody is all spotless metal painted body color,
its mint. The entire chassis was apart, rebuilt and painted black.
Shocks, brake lines, brake hoses, exhaust etc was replaced. Has
3-speed trans with functional overdrive.
If you want an old car that will do nothing but bring you pleasure,
this is it. Quality fit, finish and function.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
