Extensive/Expensive 9 Year $125,000 Restoration. Under 200 miles Since Restored.
Complete frame off restoration. Every nut, bolt, trim piece, metal piece was cleaned, and either powder coated, painted, chromed or polished. Every system (electrical, mechanical, etc) was professionally rebuilt or replaced. All painted metal parts (frame, rear end housing, front end major suspension parts, door panels, hood, rear deck, and all removable panels) except body shell were taken down to bare metal, and powder coated prior to painting (even new bucket seat springs). Body shell was taken down to bare metal, repaired, leaded smooth as per factory, and primed prior to painting. All chrome parts were re-chromed (including dash panel & center console - $3500 chroming cost for just those two items). All stainless steel parts were polished (approx $5,000 cost) . Front suspension totally rebuilt with all new parts. The 8 lug drums were all relined and fins polished ($2500 cost)--correct with LH lugs on left side of car. All new shocks, springs, and brake and fuel lines. All instruments, odometer, switches, tachometer, AM/FM radio, etc were professionally rebuilt. All wiring is new correct reproduction harnesses. Motor is the 63 389 bored and stroked (Butler kit) to 454 CI. Carburetors rebuilt and set up by Mike Wasson of Pontiac Tri-Power fame. Transmission is correct Borg Warner long shaft T-10 with correct original Hurst shifter. Pontiac positraction rear end with 3:23 ratio. Radiator is a modern high performance core with correct 63 AC HD upper and lower 63 Factory Correct Harrison Tanks. Correct Reproduction Delco Battery.
