This magnificent unrestored Series I E-Type Fixed Head Coupe was delivered new in the Spring of 1967 to the authorized Jaguar agent, P.J. Kaufman Company, Incorporated of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was a standard North American Market production example but was fitted with the optional and very desirable high compression (9.0:1) cylinder head. This Jaguar was sold and delivered to the first owner, Mr. Bruce Boswell and registered new to his company, Boswell Associates, Architects of 831 West Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, Wisconsin. The delivery and "In-Warranty" date was recorded as April 18th, 1967. Mr. Boswell was a prominent local architect with his office located in the upscale north east section of downtown Waukesha, not far from the Fox River and just a short drive to P.J. Kaufman, his local Jaguar dealer.

Boswell was a graduate of the University of Illinois and after graduation went to work for the architectural firm of Grassold & Johnson, he left the firm after just three years to start his own company, Boswell Associates, Architects and he quickly earned a reputation for excellent work and his on-budget and under-time contracts jobs. He had several prominent projects with the city of Waukesha including the remodel of the County Courthouse and several prominent private business as well. In early 1967 as a present to himself, he ordered up this particular Jaguar and it would remain with him the rest of his life. During Mr. Boswell's ownership, his treasured jaguar would be driven only occasionally during the Summer months. Mr. Boswell took only one notable long-distance journey in the car in 1970 when he drove from Wisconsin for a holiday to visit Laredo, Texas. Boswell even took the Jaguar with him over the border when he visited Nuevo Laredo, Mexico as evidenced by a Mexican tourist visa sticker still affixed to the right rear window of the car.

After Boswell passed away, the car remained stored with his family before being sold by the family estate via Mecum Auctions to local Milwaukee enthusiast, collector, dealer, Colin Comer. After 47 years, the purchase of this unique Jaguar from it original family must have been quite a special moment. The car had covered just over 12,000 miles from new and while it had been off the road for many years, it quickly came back to life with only basic services. Comer realized the car needed a special new caretaker capable of affording the sympathetic work it would need to see that it would be preserved as well as made fully functional once again. A trusted friend and client purchased the car from Comer in the Spring of 2015 and over the next three years, he spent just shy of $100,000 on the car's careful refurbishment while simultaneously preserving the car's original nature where possible.

Today this E-Type Fixed Head Coupe remains a treasure of originality and authenticity. It further benefits from a complete and correct repaint in the original, breathtakingly beautiful "Opalescent Maroon" while still having its completely original, un-restored interior, as delivered new. Having only been sparingly driven in the Summer months by the original owner and now with just over 13,000 original miles this Jaguar remains completely and totally rust free with all original panels. It is also of course completely "numbers matching" including both engine block and original high-compression engine cylinder head.

The original pouch with the owners manual and various other delivery booklets and documents remains with the car including the ultra-rare original warranty card specific to this Jaguar at the time of initial delivery. In addition to those documents and records, receipts totaling nearly $100,000 fully document the very careful refurbishment of the vehicle. Just a short test drive and even a casual glance at this incredible Jaguar will leave any enthusiast in a complete state of awe. It runs and drives like a brand new machine, yet has the presence and stance of a most spectacularly cared for and preserved specimen with no equal.

All interested parties are warmly encouraged to contact me to arrange for inspections and test drives. No one who takes the time to come and see this machine will be disappointed in the least.
