EXTERIOR I think this is a really hot looking car, the body lines
are sporty and muscular at the same time. It's a fantastic looking
color combination. The body is mint, no rust or damage. It's laser
straight every where I look. The paint is polished glass like
finish, it even feels slick. It has real hand pinstripe. NO ugly
vinyl top and it has a rare power sunroof. The chrome, glass,
emblems, taillights, moldings are excellent. Weather strips and
window seals are excellent. Jambs are clean. I like how the hood
makes a V ending at a point in the front of the grill. In back the
roofline and the rear window mimics the same pointed design. Rally
ll wheels are restored very well, has white letter BFG tires. There
are a few minor imperfections but overall the exterior is
outstanding.
INTERIOR: I absolutely love the red interior against the silver
exterior. When you're sitting in this car it's like you're in a
cockpit. All the gauges and controls are facing the driver. Bucket
seats are plush velour and has a sporty console in between. This
thing is pretty well optioned with power trunk, windows, locks,
cruise control rear defrost and both mirrors have remote. The
headliner, upholstery and carpet are mint. Door panels are both
very good original. A tachometer was added to the dash. In the
glove box is the pouch with the original literature and manuals.
Even the tool to manually open the sunroof is still in the original
envelope. Interior lights all work, glove box light works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Originally these motor produces a measly 185
hp, not anymore.....The #s match 400 was completely rebuilt and is
putting out double the power now. Professionally built by Speed
Inc, we have detailed spec sheet. Cost was $5,864. It was Dyno
tuned, balanced, honed and decked. Has forged pistons, comp cam,
lifters and springs, ARP bolts, and more. It also has dual feed
Holley and MSD ignition system. It runs cool with the help of a new
aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. Many new components.
Features include factory air conditioning, cruise control, power
steering and brakes. It's very tidy, detailed and proper. Under the
hood is clean, has insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk compartment is huge. Has a full
size spare with plenty of room to spare (no pun intended) Has the
jack, original cardboard liner, carpet mat. Clean metal with a coat
of spatter finish paint. Under the trunk lid and the jamb is
painted glossy, soft weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: It is actually detailed under this car has has some nice
upgrades. The floors are spotless original metal. Even the bottom
of the inner 1/4s are clean. Frame is clean and painted. Up front
suspension is entirely new. Has disc brakes and sway bar. In back
it is upgraded with Hotchkis sway bar, upper and lower control
arms. Has a good looking aluminum cover on the rear end. Upgraded
gas shocks front and back. Brake system new including hoses, lines,
e-brake components etc. Bottom of the motor is still spotless, has
high torque starter. Upgraded to a 700R-4 overdrive automatic
trans. Awesome sounding new dual exhaust with crossover pipe and
stainless Magnaflow mufflers. Gas tank and custom fuel lines are
new.
It's a cool car for so many reasons. It is unique too, you rarely
see one. It is an up and coming collectable, appealing to the age
group that grew up with these. I'm more excited about this car then
most of what we've bought this year and it's one of our least
expensive. The new owner will enjoy all this car has to offer!
