For Sale: 1967 Ford Mustang in Long Beach, Mississippi

Vehicle Description

Cars don't come much more popular than a bright Candy Apple Red Mustang, and this coupe offers a lot of pony for the money. The red paint shines up rather nicely and looks great on the sporty Mustang, which, was heavily revised for 1967. Good gaps, straight sheet metal, and crisp details like the crease that runs from the headlights to the quarter panel scoops all make this car look like it should cost thousands more than it does. It still even wears a factory hood and code T Candy apple Red is indeed this car's original color. Nice chrome bumpers and the bright trim along the rocker panels add a lot of interest to the already high-visibility coupe.

Remarkably, the interior appears to be almost entirely original and still in very good condition. The carpets were replaced a few years ago, but otherwise it shows signs of having been loved over the past 52 years. The driver's seat shows the most wear, obviously, but it's right on the cusp of needing to be replaced. Also, some of the gauges are (fuel) unoperable. Fortunately, Mustang parts are insanely affordable, so no matter what you decide to do, it won't destroy your budget so I'll let the next owner decide how to proceed. This '67 also features factory air, which was finally integrated into the dash instead of tacked on, and the center console offers a slender shifter and a cool "garage" storage compartment at the front. Original instrumentation is in nice condition with AN upgraded SLIDE AM/FM stereo to give it the original feel and also some modern amenities. The back seat is extremely well preserved.

289 cubic inch V8 provides plenty of power in the relatively lightweight coupe. The C-code in the VIN denotes a 2-barrel carburetor (only one year old), so it's reasonably economical to run.  Minor aftermarket upgrades to the engine give it a nice clean finish. Other items such as the big aluminum radiator and all-new A/C components are welcome upgrades that ensure reliability and comfort when you're cruising. It's backed by a C6 3-speed automatic and with tall 2.80 gears in the 8-inch rear end, this is a great choice for your next road trip.

The underside is unrestored with minor attention however, garage kept and very clean. Some parts a little bit grungy, but we all know trailer queens are no fun to drive and this just means you can get in and go without worries about the weather. The dual exhaust system has a great V8 sound that you'll never get tired of hearing and bright chrome Torque Thrust wheels with 235/60/14 black wall radials add a slightly custom look.

If you are looking for a very affordable classic ride for cruising, this one will go quickly. Interested buyers only.
