Vehicle Description
Benefitting from an extensive redesign effort the very year it came
out, this 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is about as sharp an
example of upper echelon Mustangs as you're likely to find. It's
also lightly travelled - having logged only 3,484 miles - so it's
in its mechanical prime and carries some serious power under its
hood to go along with an exterior tastefully modified at the hands
of the Shelby team that's been associated with performing wizardry
on this respected model pretty much since its debut.
Finished in brilliant Grabber Blue with red Shelby stripes, THIS is
the Mustang you always wished Ford would build. You just know that
as soon as they started moving forward with the retro-look, it was
probably only a matter of minutes before some designer had sketched
up a muscle-bound Shelby variant. With just 3,484 miles on the
odometer, this Shelby GT500 is pretty much as new in every
measurable way and the highest praise we can offer such a car is
that it is factory fresh. There are some extremely minor signs of
ever having been on the road, which means no scuffed chin spoiler,
no road rash behind the wheel arches, and only one or two chips on
the nose. Heck, even the tires look fresh, but you just know
someone burned off a few thousandths in a parking lot somewhere,
creating some expensive tire smoke. Only 523 Grabber Blue cars were
built in 2010 (this one is #404), making it one of the rarer
models, although looking at this one, you have to wonder why it
wasn't more popular, because it's drop-dead gorgeous.
Inside, the charcoal black leather seats with bright red stripe
inserts look absolutely fantastic, and believe it or not, still
smell new. There's almost zero wear on the driver's seat, no scuffs
on the door sills, and the carpets have been protected since day
one by floor mats. Shelbys came only one way: loaded. As a result
there were few options available, and those that were are included
in this car. Among them is the Shaker 1000 stereo system with
enough power to make your ears bleed, and things like A/C, power
windows, keyless entry, and cruise control were all standard
equipment. And being a modern muscle car, this blue beast offers
the safety of both a driver and passenger airbag. The trunk is
standard Mustang, which means decent space all finished in
mouse-fur upholstery and houses a speaker box for two subwoofers.
That's right, there's some boom to go with that growl.
This GT500 fully delivers on the promise of its aggressive
exterior. The 5.4 liter supercharged V8 sitting in a very clean
engine bay produces an outstanding 540 horsepower with standard
tuning and it sounds awesome - deep and commanding, without being
too overbearing. The powerplant teams with a 6-speed manual
transmission to give you full control of the otherworldly output on
hand. Shelby focused a lot of effort on taking the Mustang's
already agile handling to a new level, adding suspension
improvements in both front and back that upped skidpad performance
while not compromising drivability in more commonly encountered
situations - while many performance-centric cars are a task to
drive, this car certainly isn't one of them. Upgraded power disc
brakes at all four corners bring rapid stops, while smooth power
steering adds to this Shelby's driver-friendliness as it liquifies
asphalt on its 19" SVT wheels outfitted with 255/40/19 (front) and
285/35/19 (rear) Bridgestone low profile tires.
Exceptional power and tasteful, stare-inducing looks make this 2010
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 a must-see. And with only 3,484 miles on
the odometer, it's still waiting to get broken-in. Call today!
