This car is incredible. The overall appearance suggests the odometer reading of 56,086 is the actual miles on the car. Due to the age, I am unable to claim this to be actual miles.
I do know the body was refinished. It had the typical clear coat issues, so the body was stripped, painted to the correct Medium Gray Metallic color and then new stripes were applied. It looks fantastic! I don’t see flaws. It appears almost as if it were brand new.
The Black Custom Cloth interior is MINT! The headliners in these cars were famous for sagging. Not this one. Tight as a fiddle string. The door panels and seats were known to fade and become brittle. The appearance of these is like new. Even the carpeting shows minimal wear and usage. You are going to be very impressed when you look this car over.
This Z28 is nicely equipped. It has the automatic overdrive transmission behind the 305 V8 engine. It has air-conditioning, cruise control, power locks, power hatch, rear defogger, intermittent wipers, AM/FM stereo, tilt column, tinted glass, rear cargo cover, white letter tires and T-tops.
All features work properly with exception of the air conditioning. I was told it worked fine, but the Freon needs to be replenished. It is still the R-12 system. Perhaps the best resolution is to convert it to R-134a? You can make that decision.
The maintenance and care given to this car is obvious. Certainly it has always been garage-kept. I doubt it ever saw much inclement weather. It seems it was used sparingly and for fun occasions. Recently, new brakes and tires were installed. The wheel bearings were replaced at that time and new struts were installed. When it was all done, the front end alignment was put to factory specs. The starter and battery were both replaced. A Magna Flow exhaust system was installed.
There is nothing about this car that suggests it was ever messed with, beaten, driven hard or modified. It appears to me that it has been well cared for and treated with great respect.
I wish I could certify that the mileage is actual. You will see how nice the car is and can make that assessment yourself. But in my opinion, it appears as if it were just driven from the showroom floor
