Fresh Inventory! Hey out there all you Jeep nuts do I have a
special one for you this week! This Jeep Super Wagoneer was a
barnfind out of Tucson Arizona where it spent its entire life.
Bought new and serviced at Galloway Motors in Tucson. Owned by the
same family since circa 1969, this Jeep is one of the most complete
and well preserved examples to come to market in a long time. The
Jeep has 149k original miles and has a fully documented service
history with many receipts saved through out the ownership. These
Super Wagoneers only came equipped one way and that was with
everything. Factory A/C, Vinyl Roof, Bucket Seats w/ Console, and
of course the Big AMC 327ci Vigilante V8 with 4 barrel carb. Four
Wheel Drive will take this Jeep anywhere you can think of.
This Jeep is overall completely rust free and retains its only
repaint done around 1973 (receipt available). The desert sun had
done a toll on the original vinyl roof and paint work, but there is
something magical about the story a good patina tells you. The car
was lightly scuffed and had a coat of clear gloss shot over it to
give it a shine and protect the Patina. There are no surprises for
the next serious owner who wants to take the exterior to show
condition or drive it as-is and tell a story!
The interior is in pretty tidy condition having had carpets and
headliner redone many years ago, and we just had front two seats
recovered while retaining the original seat centers to keep a
correct pattern to match the original rear bench. Overall interior
condition goes with exterior and has all important original pieces
with the vehicle. Nice period correct tachometer was installed on
the column. Original A/C vents and original Jeep radio still in
place. Wood veneers through out have been freshened up and door
pulls have been redone.
The engine compartment has been nicely restored with a deep
cleaning, fresh paint through out, new hood pad, rebuilt carb, oil
change, tune up and new exhaust. The 327 also received new fuel
pump and battery. A compression test was completed and all
cylinders are sitting right around 110-120 psi and the truck is not
a smoker. Transmission shifts through the gears and truck runs and
stops good. I have not taken it on any extended trips other than
around the neighborhood and it has not been registered on the road
since the late 80s.
I am looking forward to talking to some true Jeep experts that know
what this is and just how rare an opportunity like this is to own
one of the rares Jeep products ever produced. This is the Holy
